According to report wey Labor Department give on Thursday, new applications for jobless benefits be 248,000 for the week wey end June 7. Experts bin predict say e go be 244,000 new applications.

Last week, jobless claim applications be 248,000, wey be the highest since October. This dey show say people dey lose their jobs more than before.

Normally, weekly applications for jobless benefits dey show how people dey lose jobs for U.S. Since COVID-19 shake the economy five years ago, e dey bounce between 200,000 and 250,000, wey be normal number.

When companies dey give their report, many of them don reduce how much money dem expect to make for 2025 or dem no even give any number at all. Dem dey blame President Donald Trump for how he dey announce tariffs anyhow.
