Trump Dey Go Watch 'Les Mis' for Kennedy Center; Drag Performers Dey Plan Protest!

President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump dey plan go watch the opening night of 'Les Misérables' for the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts for Wednesday night. But e no be everybody dey happy about am.

Since Trump take over the Kennedy Center, things don change plenty. E appoint himself chairman for February, sack plenty people for the board wey dey support both parties, and put ein own loyal people inside. E even tour the place for March and say dem go get some good shows. E mention 'Les Miz' dey come.

But some artists dey vex about how Trump dey control things. Some of the actors sef dey plan to boycott the show. 'Les Misérables' be one of Trump ein favorite shows for long time, so the opening night suppose be big night for ein friends and top supporters.

But while Trump dey enjoy einself, some drag performers dey plan to protest. Dem go show up for the Kennedy Center to show say dem no dey happy with Trump ein presence. About four to six drag performers dey expect to attend, courtesy of attendees wey no want demma tickets after Trump take over.

One of the performers be Vagenesis, wey ein real name be Anderson Wells. Vagenesis tell NPR say she must speak out. She dey protest because Trump say he go stop drag shows for the center. Trump talk say 'NO MORE DRAG SHOWS, OR OTHER ANTI-AMERICAN PROPAGANDA.'

Vagenesis believe say theatre suppose be place of community and storytelling, and say e suppose be open for everybody. Trump also criticize past programming for the center say e be 'out of control with rampant political propaganda, [diversity, equity and inclusion] and inappropriate shows.'

Since Trump change the leadership, some performers don cancel demma shows, and the Capital Pride Alliance move some of ein Pride month events from the center. The Kennedy Center get new chair like Trump, and plenty new faces wey Trump appoint.

So, while Trump dey enjoy 'Les Misérables,' expect some drama and protest outside the theatre!
