Yui Hasegawa Commits Future to Man City With New Long-Term Deal!

Manchester City midfielder Yui Hasegawa has signed a new long-term contract, securing her future with the club until the summer of 2029. The 28-year-old Japanese international's commitment comes as a major boost for The Cityzens as they prepare for the new Barclays Women’s Super League season.

Hasegawa, who joined Man City from West Ham United in the summer of 2022, has quickly become a key player, making 95 appearances in all competitions. Her consistent performances and reliability in midfield have cemented her place as one of the team's most valuable assets.

“I’m very happy to have signed my contract extension, I’m so excited,” Hasegawa said after signing the new deal. “I really want to win the title at this club and there are players I want to play with. This is one of the biggest reasons [why I wanted] to stay here.”

With the arrival of new boss Andrée Jeglertz, Manchester City are looking to bounce back strongly this season. Hasegawa believes the new additions will have a positive impact on the team. “I think the new things always have a good impact on the team, so the new manager and new players are so good, and it makes me have to work hard,” she added.
